Even in the familiar there can be surprise and wonder.
February this year feels quiet. A perfect time for reflecting.
The other day I was sitting on a bus with foggy windows. I raised my glove to make a small circular view but stopped short because there in the window steam was a flower etched by the previous passenger. It felt like a happy secret as I peered through the posy to the outside world. The lines of the petals and leaves revealed blurs of colours. Some illuminating and others fading with each turn. That morning I saw something so familiar and yet so different thanks to a stranger's flower left behind.
