wintertime

Even in the familiar there can be surprise and wonder.
~Tierney Gearon

February this year feels quiet. A perfect time for reflecting.

The other day I was sitting on a bus with foggy windows. I raised my glove to make a small circular view but stopped short because there in the window steam was a flower etched by the previous passenger. It felt like a happy secret as I peered through the posy to the outside world. The lines of the petals and leaves revealed blurs of colours. Some illuminating and others fading with each turn. That morning I saw something so familiar and yet so different thanks to a stranger's flower left behind.

  4. Enjoyed reading your experience with the foggy window flower. What a lovely little moment! Also, nice shots as usual. My favourite is the first with the birds in the trees.

    1. I'm so glad to hear you liked the story and those crows are so funny. I have one that literally follows me home whenever I take a walk in the neighborhood.

  6. secret surprises are the best, especially fun ones like bus-fog flowers. sometimes all it takes for me to feel happy is to see something like that. :)
