Have you ever heard the wonderful silence just before dawn? Or the quiet and calm just as a storm ends? Or perhaps you know the silence when you haven't the answer to a question you've been asked, or the hush of a country road at night, or the expectant pause of a room full of people when someone is just about to speak, or, most beautiful of all, the moment after the door closes and you're alone in the whole house? Each one is different, you know, and all very beautiful if you listen carefully.

  6. Beautiful (as always). The silence that descends late at night, once everyone else is asleep is one of my favourite - all is very still and quiet and feels as though the earth itself is resting.

  7. wonderful, especially the fist one...
I love how you pair pictures and word, they always correspond with each other beautifully!

  8. Corresponding landscapes is genius. And I'm going to have to try that recipe. You always have the best links and your photos are exquisite (as always)

  9. so much to think about and explore here. your photos make me think of the silence between bursts of thunder: and the relief when it finally breaks. lovely, all of it.

  10. I do feel the quiet in your photographs. And those savory oatmeal cookies look very good.

  11. SO beautiful. I can definitely hear the silence in these photos...
