woodland

It is not so much for its beauty that the forest makes a claim upon men's hearts, as for that subtle something, that quality of air that emanation from old trees, that so wonderfully changes and renews a weary spirit.
~Robert Louis Stevenson

These photographs were taken on a wee road trip east of Seattle.  It's fun to randomly drive somewhere and stop spontaneously when things looks interesting.  J. was pretty amused at my excitement of running into this forest to capture a couple views.  Nature has such a lovely way of being glorious and uplifting.

  15. I'm also happy - go into the blue (which one said in Germany: start without a target). I like it very much if I do not know what I'll discover on the trip. This is exciting.
