Sometimes in the early hours J. and I go on photo wanderings. This time we decided to re-explore Pike Place Market. I loved seeing everyone set up before the rush of the day.

  8. I enjoyed some excellent red grapes from a farmer over at the Fort Mason farmers market a couple of weeks ago. Yum yum. He was funny. He said he wanted me to taste a grape to make sure I liked them. Once I popped one in my mouth I knew all that he wanted was a pat on the back : )

  9. Oh I miss Pike Place. These photos make me miss it even more! The two times I've been to Seattle I stayed near the market both times and I loved walking through it in the mornings on my way to go sightseeing or meet friends. :)

I missed the last post but I'm currently re-reading Nick Hornby's "Speaking with the Angel" because I've been so busy lately that I only have the time and attention span for shorter stories.

  10. How beautiful. Early mornings give a offer a different perspective on things. Love the restroom sign and fresh.

  11. so beautiful.
    makes me homesick.
    i remember shopping
    at the market
    just before it closed
    on rainy days...
    rushing to shop-
    darting back and forth
    through
    gawking tourists.
    sigh.

  12. Denise: That was a clever move on his part for sure. :)

Lili: I adore short stories and this is a new title to me. I'm familiar with Hornby's essays which are great quick reads too. Thanks for the heads up.

P.K.: They really do and when I take the time to get out early in the day I'm reminded often how much beauty there is to quiet mornings.

gwen: That sounds so lovely, I actually have been missing the rain lately. Perhaps it's around the corner...
