daisies

The simplest things give me ideas.
~Joan Miro

Finding daisies is a delight especially since they are one of my favourites. I love how they are not choosy and will pop up just about anywhere. I'm glad it's that time of year. What kind of flowers do you like and is there a memory attached to it?

  1. I think someone is able to see fairies under daisies in your photo.

  2. daisies are actually one of my favorites as well. mostly because of their simple appearance. they also remind me of spring/summer when I see them, which is a nice reminder. I also really like hyacinths. I think they're beautiful.

  4. rc: I love that thought.

Lili: Daisies are so cheerful too. Lovely choices, it's great to hear which ones you favour.

M.: Ooh nice! That is so neat about your grandma cooking with it. I like how scents or ingredients can trigger memories.

  8. I love daisies, they're one of my mom's favorites and always make me think of her. For myself, I love tulips with an absolute passion. As soon as they come up, I love to fill the vases in my home with them.

Marion: I imagine you had beautiful bunches as you collected. It's cool all the colours that variety has.

  15. I love roses. I have several neighbors with roses along my walks home from work and I stop to smell them pretty much every day. Daisies are also one of my favorites but don't smell as nice!

  17. I like this Miro quote. It is very true, for me. Tall & wild Queen Anne's Lace takes me back to my childhood--looking out the car window from the backseat as we wind along, stops at the cheese shop, strolls in "the country", picking berries.

    kristina: Oh wonderful!

Denise: I love your memory. Gorgeous choice.
