relaxing

There is something quite special about train rides. Staring out the window, landscapes move from focus to blur and back. I love the quiet hum of the wheels on the tracks and the occasional whistle sound, a book in my hands, some time to ponder things, and the anticipation of arriving.

  4. I'd take the train over the bus anyway (mainly because I tend to get motion sick on buses:-/ )

  5. On the East cost, traveling from Baltimore to NYC there's graffiti, some good, some bad. Mesmerizing. Love riding in trains. My favorite way to travel.

  6. there is a park in nyc, the highline park, which is an old above ground train track system that they converted into a public park as of last summer. they retained the original materials and planted more things over the natural growth. this is what it reminds me of. :)

  7. Train tracks make me smile, they remind me of my grandpa working the rails for decades. My cousin works as a railroad brakeman. There is something nice about a world full of technology that allows for such a historic job - even today.
